Comprehensive Driver Risk Management

A holistic platform for driver risk assessment, management and mitigation including MVR, CSA and telematics monitoring, plus public records, alert-based workflows, risk scoring, analytics and training.

With a focus on background checks and employment verification, Continuous MVR (sold as an optional add-on to primary package offerings) is the only product offered for managing and mitigating driver risk.

Monitoring Data Sources

The most accurate and complete monitoring footprint in the industry, including the largest MVR and CSA network and nationwide continuous monitoring of license, telematics and CSA data sources.

Monitors licenses for just two types of changes; DMV status changes and criminal violations.

Monitoring Frequency

True continuous monitoring that identifies changes to license status, violations and CSA inspections as frequently as monthly, weekly, or even daily (depending on the state) and delivers near-real time alerts for activities as they occur. MVRs are only surfaced if a new activity is detected.

MVRs are purchased every month for all employees, regardless of whether a new activity or a change occurred on the employee’s record. Any high-risk activity or disqualifying incident that occurs between those monthly checks is left unnoticed.

Risk Scoring

Categorizes drivers into low, medium and high-risk categories based on configurable rules. Standardizes and normalizes all risky events and activities into a single, comprehensive risk score for each driver based on critical MVR, CSA, telematics and crash and claims data.

No scoring system to quickly assess or compare driver risk. Default MVR rules can be customized to evaluate a candidate’s driving record and categorize their status as either “Clear” or “Consider.” Statuses are primarily based on candidates’ eligibility for hire, rather than their risk level based on driving history.

Risk Insights

Configurable analytics dashboards transform driver risk data from all sources into meaningful visualizations, trends and groupings to: quickly compare drivers, discover where risk lies within a business, prioritize interventions and evaluate risk mitigation efforts.

Reports and analytics are built to help employers review and evaluate the background check and hiring process and monitor adverse action rates. MVR reports primarily offer a status readout of total MVRs created, report status, turnaround time, etc. No dashboards or visualizations offered to help identify and act on risk trends.

Training & Intervention Workflows

A robust curriculum of over 400 mastery-based training courses for all driver and vehicle types, plus content for managers, ensuring targeted action can be taken immediately following an alert remediate high-risk behavior.

Relies solely on MVR checks and monitoring to manage driver risk. Lacks integrated intervention workflows.

Availability, Scalability, Configurability

Highly configurable and scalable solution for organizations of varying sizes and industries. Adaptable to meet the specifications of any safety policy. No limitations on who can use continuous monitoring.

Limitations on availability, only offering Continuous MVR to select customers who employ hundreds of drivers and do high-volume hiring. Implementation-free access to the dashboard and lack of risk management functionality limits configurability options.

Subscription-based pricing for a full suite of risk management tools based on the customer’s needs.

Consistent, upfront and lower pricing for all MVR pulls, regardless of whether it is a one-off order or part of continuous monitoring. No hidden or additional charges outside of state passthrough fees.

(Option to purchase Baseline MVRs)

MVRs and continuous monitoring offered as “add-ons” to background check subscription packages, tacking on a monthly service fee for each enrolled driver, a $2.50 charge per month, per employee for continuous monitoring, plus a $9.50 charge for the first (baseline) MVR for each employee and any one-off MVR order thereafter.
