Data security is a top priority here at SambaSafety. Here are just a few ways we’re dedicated in keeping your data safe:

We’re SOC 2 Type 2 Compliant

Created by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), SOC 2 was developed specifically for service providers who store customer data on the cloud. SOC 2 ensures providers are securely managing data, protecting the interests of the organizations they serve, as well as the privacy of their clients. In order to be SOC 2 compliant, customer data must be managed on the following five trust service principles:

  • Security
  • Availability
  • Confidentiality
  • Privacy

It’s important to note that SOC 2 compliance is not a requirement for SaaS vendors – instead, we choose to follow SOC 2 as another way to keep our customers safer, both on and off the road. SambaSafety performs SOC 2 audits every 12 months to ensure ongoing compliance.

We’re FCRA Compliant

We pull over 60 million motor vehicle records (MVRs) each year and provide MVRs to over 90 percent of background screeners. As a result, we must comply with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). This stringent act governs how businesses obtain, handle, use and dispose of consumer reports, such as MVRs.

We Have Direct Relationships with DMVs

We have direct relationships with DMVs in all 50 states, U.S. territories and Canadian provinces. Our platform directly integrates with each DMV, ensuring safe keeping of personal information.

We Have an In-House Security Team

Keeping your data secure is truly a 24/7 job. Consider the fact that hacking isn’t your typical nine-to-five role. Our team monitors security round the clock, ensuring we’re on top of potential hacks, phishing attempts or additional issues. Rest assured, our team is always one step ahead of even the cleverest hackers.
